Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Sweet Shallots
A gourmet twist on an old classic
- 2 cups Harmony House Foods Dehydrated Potatoes
- 4 cups water
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp Harmony House Foods Dehydrated Shallots
- ½ cup milk (or milk substitute)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 Tablespoons Harmony House Foods Dehydrated Chives
Step 1: Place potatoes, water, salt and garlic in a saucepan and bring to a boil. In a liquid measuring cup, combine remaining ingredients and set aside.
Step 2: Simmer potato mixture about 10 minutes or until the water is absorbed and potatoes begin to look dry. When the potatoes are done remove from heat and and mash. If you like pieces in your potatoes, use a hand potato masher. For creamier potatoes, use an electric mixer.
Step 3: Add the milk mixture to the potatoes and stir well. Serve warm and enjoy!
